Part saw a film with John Hurt playing 'raconteur, writer and defiant exhbhitionist' Quentin Crisp. Defiantly himself despite chastisement and violence insisting he do otherwise. A keen sense of who he was helped here- to resist successfully requires a security- I think that perhaps it was his strong self-image that inspired such awe, wonderment and angry confusion.
